Nicole Griffin has spent her entire career in the Hartford capitol complex. Nicole has been an invaluable aide to two Connecticut Governors having worked as the administration’s liaison to the legislature and state agencies. Her unmatched network of relationships in Connecticut has led her to be one of the most successful lobbyists in the state.

Nicole’s experience in the hospitality, public safety, transportation and financial services industries has allowed her to help shape Connecticut policies for over two decades. She currently serves on the town of Middlebury’s Economic Development Commission.

Nicole received her BA in Political Science from St. Anselm College. She and her husband, Rick, live in Middlebury with their two sons.

Ms. Griffin joined the firm in 2006, after several years on the Governor’s legislative staff. She began her tenure with the Governor as a legislative liaison, and was then promoted to Deputy Legislative Director. In that capacity she served as the Governor’s representative to state agencies and legislative committees. Her duties included lobbying the Governor’s legislative proposals and negotiating any changes with key legislators. In her time serving in Governor Rell’s administration, Ms. Griffin focused primarily on issues before the Judiciary, General Law, Government Administration & Elections, Environment and Appropriations Committees.

Ms. Griffin was part of a bipartisan working group responsible for crafting and passing legislation that completely revamped the Connecticut Office of State Ethics. While working on this landmark legislation she earned a reputation as a strong communicator able to achieve consensus.

Prior to her work in the Governor’s office, Ms. Griffin was a legislative analyst, focusing on issues impacting Chambers of Commerce, nursing homes and Connecticut schools, both academically and athletically.

Ms. Griffin has held many political and civic positions. As the Political Director for the Connecticut Republican Party from 1999 until 2001, she was responsible for managing several municipal elections during the 1999 election cycle and worked on the 2000 Presidential campaign. Following the 2000 Presidential campaign, Ms. Griffin was chosen to serve as former Governor Rowland’s Finance Director for his 2002 gubernatorial re-election campaign.

  • Bachelor's degree in political science from St. Anselm College
  • While in college, Ms. Griffin was involved with the New Hampshire Republican Party – first as an intern, and then as its Special Projects Director.
