Kevin A. Hill returns to Levin, Powers, & Brennan after taking leave to work as the 2006 Field Director for the successful campaign of first term Congressman Christopher S. Murphy.

As the Field Director for Congressman Murphy, Mr. Hill managed a staff of 19 organizers throughout Connecticut’s fifth congressional district. Mr. Hill developed and maintained extensive contacts at the local, state and federal level as he coordinated the campaign’s efforts with local Democratic Town Committees, the State Democratic Party and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Congressman Murphy’s victory was unprecedented as he defeated the longest serving member of the House of Representatives in Connecticut’s history.

Prior to his work as Field Director, Mr. Hill worked as a legislative assistant for Levin, Powers, & Brennan, LLC. He was responsible for tracking and monitoring both legislative and administrative legislation for the firm’s clients. In addition, he was responsible for researching and preparing analyses of public policy issues, as well as assisting in fundraising efforts and in organizing special events.

Mr. Hill first began his public policy career as a researcher for the Education Alliance at Brown University and as a research intern for U.S. Senator Christopher J. Dodd.

Mr. Hill graduated in 2003 from Providence College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. He continued his studies at Providence College where he received a Master of Arts degree in American History, focusing his studies on American Political History. Mr. Hill is currently nearing completion of his Master of Arts degree in Public Policy from Trinity College where he focused his studies on Policy Analysis.
