About Levin, Powers, Brennan & Shea, LLC
The effectiveness of any lobbyist is dependent upon his or her relationships
with key legislators and others who work at the Capitol or in the Administration.
What sets Levin, Powers, Brennan & Shea apart is that our relationships
with key public officials are longstanding – based on friendships and
trust that have developed over many years. Among the six lobbyists, our contacts
and relationships are extensive throughout both the Capitol and the Administration.
Our firm has earned a reputation as effective and successful due to our unique
approach; by working as a team we utilize all our strengths and relationships
for the benefit of our clients.
Established in 1999, Levin, Powers, Brennan & Shea is now one of Connecticut’s
premiere governmental relations firms. LPBS provides its clients with an understanding
of administrative, legislative and political process necessary to advance their
business interests. We are staffed with attorneys and professionals who have
experience as governmental leaders and advocates on both the local and state
level. We maintain working relationships with both major political parties
and possess strong ties to Connecticut’s delegation in Congress.
At LPBS we represent clients in a variety of areas, including health care,
transportation, taxation, economic development, energy, bonding, and insurance.
Depending on the issue, our services may include lobbying the legislature,
lobbying the Administration, coordinating a grassroots or public relations
campaign, or representing the client before a state agency - whatever appropriate
action it takes to obtain a positive outcome for our client.
In addition to direct lobbying, specific services that can be offered our
clients include:
- Clear identification of a client’s needs and objectives
- Analysis
of a proposed public policy
- Identification and assessment of the impact
of a governmental action
- Drafting of legislation and/or regulations
- Negotiations with special interest
groups and key decision makers
- Education and mobilization of target constituencies
Governmental bodies face numerous complex issues; developing a deep
and extensive knowledge of all those issues is a hallmark of LPBS.
We stay up-to-date on the key issues before state and local governments
and are positioned to react immediately in the best interest of our
clients.
